cissi worked in a bakers and managed the anlwick pub in nothshields with her husband danny in the
1960s both of the were well known and everybody who knew them loved them. my nana was a angel in
diguise i remember my nana always playin with my hair she always put ribbons in for school i hated
them id always pull them out haha i always got told off and say they fell out my nana used to laugh
she had a lovly laugh and the biggest smile and cooked the best mince and dumplings il never forget
my nanas smell her favorite perfume was called opium i loved her cuddles she was a cuddly lady so
confidant i always admired her and always wanted to be like her she was amazing and so talented i
remember when my mam bought me a black dress it was so plain my nana promised to make it into a
party dress she spent hours hand sewing frills and bows on it i loved it she was handy with a needle
and thread when she was younger and her sister rosie they used to make there own dresses my nana was
also a keen darts player and won lots of trophys.every one has there own memorys of my nana i have
lots but theres one that sticks out the most it was not long before she past away i snuck into her
bedroom to see her and i asked her what i should i do with my life when the angels take her away my
nana smiled and said well little girl as she held my hand look after your grandad and your dad
always be yourself and when you feel down keep your head held high and smile il always be with you
and watching you wherever you go so you have to be good we both laughed i gave my nana a big kiss
and cuddle and told her i loved her that was the last time i spoke to her im glad i got to say
goodbye in my own way i know shes always around looking after me and i know she and my grandad were
there when i had my daughter i know they would of been so proud some people idolise pop sars or film
stars iv always idolised my nana her favorite song was simply the best by tina turner and just like
the song my nana was and always will be SIMPLY THE BEST.
